About the event

Our ancestors depended on the Earth to sustain them. They embraced and appreciated each turn of the wheel of the year and would celebrate with ritual acts, feasting and magic, inviting in prosperity and abundance.

Join Vicky and Sam in ancient woodland to celebrate the mighty Oak in this phase of the Ogham wheel. Strong and powerful, ruling over the summer months, associated with spells for protection, strength, prosperity, fertility and abundance the Oak was sacred.

Re-wild, re-connect and reclaim the ancient bonds by gathering in community. A place to be your true authentic self through foraging, fire circle, feasting, herbal teas, wild crafting, bush craft and wild medicine making.

What better way to honour this turn of the wheel than a day spent outdoors making meaningful connections with Nature.

You are invited to bring something to share when we sit in circle together. A gift for the Oak King. It can be something physical like a feather or a flower or a song or a poem. Whatever you feel comfortable with. Our only request is that it is something natural if it is a physical object.

We will start our day with a nourishing wild herbal tea and snack and getting to know each other in our community. We will then head into the woods to gather wood for our fire, food for our feast, materials for wild crafting and herbal remedies.

We will build our fire using traditional techniques and sit in circle to enjoy a seasonal meal cooked over the flames.

We will learn how to use tools like our ancestors, make nature art, wild craft, herbal remedies and explore the significance of the Oak culturally.

There will be time for personal reflection, and we ask that you fetch a blanket to wrap yourself in whilst you sit and commune with Mother Earth.

There will be a steady supply of nourishing food throughout the day and some of it you will have prepared yourself.

We will end the day by releasing negative emotions and invite positivity and light into our lives.

We shall leave with full hearts, full bellies and our spirits uplifted after a day outdoors.

There are a limited number of places available to ensure we create meaningful connections.

This is a wilderness event and will be held outdoors in the woods

We will be under shelter if the weather is wet.

There is no disabled access to the woods.

There are toilet facilities available.

This is an adult event and will only go ahead with a minimum number of participants.
